To improve my speaking ability, I like to read vocabulary or articles aloud to listen to my pronunciation. In addition, I like to read the textbook to my friends because they can correct my pronunciation instantly.
To improve my listening ability, I like to listen to the explanation of the English magazines. Because some of them are native speakers, I can learn to keep up with their speed.
To improve my reading ability, I read not only textbooks but the English magazines. Some of the articles in them are really interesting and can increase the fun of learning English for me.
To improve my writing ability, I will clip some articles on English newspapers and write down what I have learned and summaries after reading them. It’s a good way to help me organize the subject of the articles. Recently, I found that watching movies with English subtitles is also a good way to improve my listening and reading ability.

News Summary1
I have read a news article on CNN Interactive. Its topic is “ Drunk Driving Laws Making Impact In California.”(http://literacynet.org/cnnsf/drunkdriving/home.html)
Summary: A car accident caused her beloved one to death told Rebecca Bearden the danger of drunk driving. So she participated in MADD.Though drunk driving has been wrongful since 1911, the law wasn’t carried out strictly till MADD started to alter people’s awareness about drunk driving. They strived to persuade people that“ Drunk driving is a sin.” and finally succeeded. Liquor associated death in California has decreased since 1980. But the work has not finished because the officers in California still catch a drunk driver every six minutes.
What I have learned: Drunk driving is also a serious problem in Taiwan. We can often watch reports on TV news that someone was killed or seriously injured by a drunk driver. When watching the news, I really felt pity on the victims. I think the punishment for drunk driving is too light, they can’t learn a lesson from it. It's a good experience to learn from California and we should start doing something to prevent someone is killed by a drunk driver.
Some thoughts and reflections about the language exercises: I think the installation is very good because it can help me to catch the subject of the article well. The vocabulary part help me to know the new words precisely. The questions provide a situation teach me when to use the words. The multiple choice part test my further reading about the article. The sequencing part help me organize the sequence of the article. All parts of the installation really help me to read an English news article easier. I think the website is really a good place to learn to read English news.

A very tired week!
It's really a very tired week(last week). I have to go to a new surroundings and try to get accustomed to it. I can't find the right classroom often. Especially when I go to take the Chinese class. I just can't find the building I should go. I walk and walk very long time. Fortunately, I finally find the building and classroom. Ooh! it's really a hard work. But ncu is really a beautiful campus. It has many trees and a very very big campus for us to take a walk. Though it was a really tired week, I really like the surrounding of ncu. And I believe I will get used to ncu very quickly!

Who am I?~Self Introduction!
My English name is Alice. I am a ncu freshman and I am in the English department. I graduated from Fudan high school. I studied in Fudan about six years. It is really a warm place. The teachers are always warm-hearted. They care about not only our studies but our life. In addition, the classmates are cute and mild. I like to read books such as novels and books about encouragement and listen to music in my leisure time. My favorite western signer is Westlife. I keep a dog as pet at home. His name is Cho-Cho. He is four years old now. He is really cute and act like a baby. My mother is just like my best friend. We can talk about anything happened in our daily life. This is my first time to set up a blog so maybe it will be very simple but~I will try my best.
